Set up video and AI providers for telemedicine

Available to

Administrators and configuration managers.

Telemedicine needs at least one video provider. Server transcription and AI drafts also need an AI provider. Both are set up by an administrator.

Set up a video provider

  1. Open HIS Administration → Video Providers and select New.
  2. Enter the Name, Code and Platform, and set the Link Mode.
  3. For a generated room (Jitsi or a self-hosted server), enter the Url Template: an HTTPS address with exactly one {room} placeholder.
  4. For the clinician's own link (Google Meet, Zoom or Microsoft Teams), enter the Allowed Link Domains, for example meet.google.com.
  5. Choose a Facility if the provider is for one facility only. Leave it empty for every facility.

What to know

  • Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams are supplied inactive. Activate one only when your organisation has approved it for patient consultations.
  • Public Jitsi stays inactive. It is not suitable for patient data.
  • A pasted meeting link must be HTTPS, on the allowed domains, and without credentials. It is visible only to clinical staff and is cleared when the session ends.

Set up an AI provider

  1. Open HIS Administration → Telemedicine AI Providers and select New.
  2. Choose the Kind: OpenAI-compatible (OpenAI, a gateway or a self-hosted Whisper or vLLM server) or Anthropic Claude.
  3. Enter the Base Url (HTTPS only) and the Api Key.
  4. Enter the Report Model. For server transcription, also enter the Speech-to-text Model. Anthropic has no speech-to-text.
  5. Tick Data-processing Agreement Confirmed once your organisation has signed the agreement. Tick Allow Audio Upload only if the provider is approved to receive audio.
