Patient Administration

Register and find a patient

Available to

Registration Officer and authorised clinical users.

What this task does

Creates a patient record or finds the existing enterprise record before care, diagnostics, or pharmacy work begins.

Before you begin

Confirm the patient’s identifying documents and the local policy for provisional registration.

Steps

  1. Open Healthcare > Patients.
  2. Search by patient number, name, Arabic name, or approved identifier before creating a new record.
  3. If no suitable record is found, select New and enter the required identity, demographic, language, contact, and registration-facility information.
  4. Add the identifiers available under local policy and mark their verification status accurately.
  5. Save the record and review any duplicate candidates generated for follow-up.

What happens next

The patient can be linked to an appointment, encounter, diagnostic order, prescription, or other care workflow within the authorised facility scope.

Status reference

A patient record may be marked Provisional, Verified, Deceased, or Inactive. The label is not a clinical diagnosis; it describes the record's current registration status.
