Plan preventive maintenance

Explain preventive maintenance as planned work designed to reduce failure risk. The maintenance frequency and tasks come from approved manufacturer instructions, equipment risk, usage, service agreement, quality requirements, and the provider’s biomedical policy; they are not generic Odoo defaults.

Steps

1. 1Set the approved preventive-maintenance schedule, responsible team, planned duration, service window, and required evidence for each equipment class or record.
2. 2Coordinate the planned outage with the clinical department and arrange approved contingency equipment or service coverage where required.
3. 3Issue the preventive request before its due date and assign the competent technician or authorised vendor.
4. 4Perform, record, and review the required work, inspections, parts, measurements, and service evidence.
5. 5Escalate missed or overdue critical maintenance through biomedical and clinical governance before it affects patient care.
