- Open the expected receipt from the confirmed purchase order and compare supplier, product, quantity, pack, and delivery documentation.
- Inspect the physical delivery for correct item, integrity, lot or serial number, expiry, temperature evidence where applicable, and any locally required certificate or documentation.
- Scan or enter the traceability details into the receipt. Do not invent an expiry date or accept an unreadable batch code without the approved exception process.
- Route the goods to receiving hold, quarantine, or the approved storage location according to the release rule.
- Attach or record the required quality evidence and obtain the designated release decision where the deployment uses quality controls.
- Complete the receipt only when the quantity, condition, traceability, and destination are correct.
What happens next
Released goods become available through the applicable stock route. Goods under investigation remain physically and systemically segregated until their disposition is recorded.
