Count stock and investigate variance

Steps

  1. Set the approved count scope, date, locations, item categories, and independent count roles.
  2. Freeze or control movement according to the count policy, especially for controlled medicines and high-risk items.
  3. Count the physical quantity by the required unit, lot, serial, and location; scan where configured.
  4. Compare the physical result to the system quantity and investigate every material variance with the source movement, receipt, dispensing, return, or expiry record.
  5. Obtain the required approval before posting an adjustment and record a clear reason.
  6. Escalate controlled-medicine, implant, or critical reagent discrepancies under the organisation’s safety and governance policy.
