Explain that the order and specimen have related but different statuses. An order can be active while a specimen needs review; a result can be corrected without erasing the earlier result history.
The specimen record can show Expected, Collected, Rejected, Received, or Disposed. This release provides direct collection, rejection, and recollection actions; document receipt and disposal only where the customer’s governed workflow exposes them, rather than inventing a generic self-service button.
