Dialysis prescriptions and sessions

Available to

Authorised clinicians and dialysis nurses.
  1. Create a dialysis prescription — patient, modality, frequency, duration, target weight, flows, dialysate, dialyzer, vascular access, anticoagulation plan, and dates under local policy.
  2. Activate, hold, revise, or complete the prescription — an authorised clinician or HIS Manager validates indication and dates before activation. The lifecycle is Draft, Active, On Hold, Completed, Discontinued, Superseded, or Entered in Error. Changes to an active prescription use a governed revision rather than editing its clinical content in place.
  3. Start a dialysis session — select the active plan, scan or enter a matching enterprise patient identifier or verified patient identifier, record pre-treatment weight, pre-treatment blood pressure, and vascular-access assessment, then complete the safety check.
  4. Record treatment progress and completion — capture required treatment information, complications or narrative, post-treatment weight, post-treatment blood pressure, and treatment summary. The lifecycle is Planned, Pre-treatment Assessment, In Progress, Held, Completed, or Cancelled.
  5. Handle a held, cancelled, or incomplete session — use the accountable state path rather than deleting the session. A held session returns to pre-treatment assessment before it can continue.
