Create and submit a prescription

- Open Healthcare > HIS Pharmacy > Prescriptions and select New.
- Select the patient, facility, linked encounter where relevant, prescriber, valid-from date, and expiry date.
- Add each medication line: exact product, formulation, route, frequency, dose, authorised quantity, duration, and clear instructions.
- Review the patient, medication, quantities, and dates.
- Select Submit for Verification.
What happens next
The prescription moves to Awaiting Pharmacy Verification. Its clinical identity, dates, and medication lines are protected from ordinary editing once it has moved beyond draft.
