Set up approved label profiles

Available to

Configuration Manager.

What this task does

Maintains facility-specific profiles that define the approved wristband and specimen-label dimensions and printer resolution used by the local Zebra-print workflow.

Steps

  1. Create the label profile for the correct facility and label type.
  2. Enter the approved version, printer resolution, wristband size or specimen-label size, and any locally required description.
  3. Keep the profile in Draft while it is being reviewed.
  4. Select Approve once the profile has passed local print and clinical-safety validation.
  5. Create a new version for dimensional changes; do not alter an approved profile in place.

What happens next

The profile lifecycle is Draft, Approved, and Retired. Approving a replacement retires the facility's prior approved profile.
