Plan and complete a surgical episode

Clinician and authorised perioperative users.

Create a surgical episode in Draft and select the patient, encounter, facility, operating room, procedure, urgency, primary surgeon, schedule, and anaesthesia type.
Add the surgical team while the episode is in draft.
Select Schedule once the room and schedule are confirmed. The system prevents overlapping cases in the same room.
Before starting, complete the pre-operative assessment, sign-in, and time-out checks required by the workflow.
Select Start when the case begins.
Complete the sign-out and select Complete when the procedure is complete.

Completion records the actual end time, moves the operating room to cleaning, and adds the event to the patient timeline.
